FDA announced this morning that it will hold a public meeting on the use of the term “healthy” on labels for human food. The meeting is schedule for March 9, 2017, and will be held at the Hilton Washington DC/Rockville Hotel, 1750 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852.
The meeting is the next in a series of steps by FDA to help food manufacturers navigate the agency’s enforcement policy on the term “healthy” and to help consumers better understand the nutritional information contained on food labels.
